Four abandoned buildings scheduled for demolition at the Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs, Montana required environmental services prior to demolition activities. WTR was contracted to conduct surveys for asbestos and other hazardous materials to ensure proper removal and disposal.
WTR inspected the buildings and discovered extensive amounts of asbestos, some PCB transformers, and lead-based paint. WTR was contracted to write the entire demolition specification, including the removal and disposal of the asbestos and PCB's. WTR also provided oversight and final air monitoring of the asbestos removal.
